Spring Schedule

It's Monday- grrrr! My allergies are driving me CRAZY today, but nonetheless, I thought I'd give you an update of the critters' schedule for this year. Looks like we are going to be ingesting quite a bit of pollen outside over the next few months, but at least we'll have some yummy treats from H-town strEATs and Boheme Cafe among others. Most importantly, we hope to catch up with all of you! Our favorite part of all of these shows is when our friends and fans stop by- we are always very happy to see you!

AlternaCraft

Howdy everyone! The month of May is finally over and I'm back... The critters wore me out a bit, but for the most part- we had a really great time!

Out of all of the shows we participated in this month, I've got to say that my absolute favorite was AlternaCraft. Galina curated an awesome group of artisans and the peeps @ Boheme Cafe and Wine Bar and Yeti Sunshine couldn't have been nicer, and took such great care of us! Even the waitstaff @ Ziggy's brought our food to us from across the street! The day was just so beautiful, and the critters and I had lots of fun visiting with our friends who stopped by, and made lots of new fun friends as well.

You just can't beat a show where you start off with a yummy chicken breakfast sandwich with crispy sweet potato hash (Ziggy's), move on to tasty Chicken Samosas and awesome frozen Mojitos for lunch (Boheme), scrumptious cake balls for a snack (Boheme), and delicious Pomegranate Sno-Cones (Yeti Sunshine) throughout the day. The critters and I are anxiously awaiting the next AlternaCraft event, and we hope it's really soon...

Etsy-Dave Comes to Houston!

Last Friday at Boheme Cafe and Wine Bar, there was an Etsy meetup with Dave, Etsy's Social Media Coordinator and the gals from H-town Etsy!

We did have lots of questions for Dave regarding our shops on Etsy... We discussed the different ways to photograph our shop items, also that we can register for shop critiques in the Etsy Labs! I also learned about AlternaCraft, an event organized at Boheme Cafe and Wine Bar by Galina, one of the H-town Etsy members. The first AlternaCraft took place this past February, and was apparently a great success, so she is planning to host another one, on 15 May 2011 from 12-6pm. Submissions are due by April 1st!

We all had a great time- hopefully they will send Dave back sometime, and maybe some more Etsy peeps as well!
